Who Should You Keep?

We all want to be liked. We want to have friends and feel like we belong. But is it more important to have a few respectable, loyal friends or a bunch of half-assed, convenient friends?

If you’re having a hard time figuring out who are the important people in your life, here is a list of qualities you should look for in your friend group. Put these people on your team.

No matter who you are, where you come from, and how great your life is, you are going to have shitty days. When life hits hard, you need:

A go-to that will always have an answer. I’m not sure why they know everything, but they do. For some reason, they know the strangest things and in the rare occasion that they don’t know, they can connect with someone who does. They are your resource, use them wisely.

A Cheerleader in your corner. This person doesn’t care what you are doing, they already believe in you. They give the best pep-talks and always find a way to make your dreams feel real.

A therapist that will give you the real advice…even when you don’t want to hear it. You don’t always like what they have to say, but you know they’re right. You have shared your deepest fears and secrets with them. They  know you so well that they can see their your denial. They help you through it all and walk you through your issue.

Finally, you need a comedian. This person doesn’t have mind-blowing words of wisdom that bring you to great realizations, but they always have something to make you laugh. They bring happiness when times are tough. Sometimes this is the most important.

Everybody who comes into your life has an impact on it. They change your energy, your thoughts, and shape your outlook on things. Make sure you pick the right people that bring the positivity and not negativity. The ones who will support you and believe in you through it all.
